Just wanted to point out that electrocardiograms are called EKG's and Echocardiograms (or ultrasounds) are indeed ECG's. Actually, electrocardiograms are called both EKGs and ECGs.  ECG is closer to being correct (ElectroCardioGram).  I have always assumed the k in EKG came from the German ElektroKardioGramm, but it has always puzzled me why it is widely used. Echocardiograms are normally called Echo, if you want something short to call it. Rebecca
